Do you browse the internet on your 'smart' tv?

    Just curious.

All my web browsing is via pc, but I can see the attraction of being able to enhance my current tv to make it smarter. Mainly it would mean not having to reach for a tablet or laptop to follow a web link I'd seen mentioned on a tv programme.

When my parents got a 'smart' TV I played around with the internet side. The one they got had a cut down chrome browser that seemed a bit slow, would crash if the site was to 'heavy' and you could not install any plugins.

It had a mini flash plugin, without enough permissions to update it and was only powerful enough to run averts mainly...

So forget bookmarking ESA or something similar and watching their videos on the big screen, you now the useful thing you may want to do on TV... Every video source I could think of wanted you to upgrade flash to work!
