Looks like what the replacement LR Defender 110 should be ! Brilliant. I wonder if they have thought of selling it in the UK and other developed countries, with a, say 10%, mark-up used to subsidise sales in developing countries ?
Quite apart from the developing world application, imagine if conventional cars in the developed world were made in the same way - so that with a manual and the right tools, most people could maintain their own vehicle, replace parts when needed etc., and not need specialist knowledge or experience. It would put many traditional service-and-repair garages out of business!
I think there will be demand for western markets. They are supposed to be dead easy to repair too if you have a little crash. No word on the pricing yet.
