Oracle v Google round whatever!

    Well the big problem with this statement is that the type of thing Google is accused of copying is the same thing that the original Java copied from C/C++. It's mainly about the syntax used in the language.

    I think the reason Java has suffered more than ever is because they have not done anything with it. Under Sun they were actively seeking to make Java based OS to run on phones, Oracle does not seemed to have done that at all. Then there is the fact that Oracle seems to have tried to milk as much money as possible from Java without adding much, like adding the toolbar install to the updater and even one version where you could not uncheck it!

    I used to be a huge fan of Java, the write once run anywhere idea is great but under Oracle I just wish it would die!

    Looks like it's about time Oracle dropped this court case!

    I think this is quite funny. Wouldn't it be interesting if Oracle won the legal battle, got millions off Google only to sued by IBM and have to pay them even more money than they got from Google.
