Thinking of getting one of these (a MK908 android stick) along with a wireless keyboard/mouse combo as a quick and easy way of using my hdtv tv as a web browser and generally 'smartening' it up.

Any thoughts / comments appreciated. :coffee:

The few reviews I could find seem to say it's ok but has it's flaws. So depends what you want to do with it..

Yeah - I've read a few too. (That particular review is for the older, single-core version I think). I'm not expecting the world from it, but for general web browsing on the tv it seems a possibility. I had considered the Pi but was put off by reviews commenting on the slowness of the web browsing.

I remember that there was a TV set that with web browser capabilities and Microsoft Office applications integrated.

This TV was sold by the Mexican telephone company Telmex and was meant to be an alternative to regular computers because the cost was a fraction of the price for the cheaper computer.

Eventually the company dropped this product due to low demand, and nuisances that people who bought it found in it.
